1. Where to Find General Settings #
- Go to WordPress Admin → Davix AI Engine → Chatbot.
- Open the General or Style tab (depending on how the tab is labeled in your UI).
Here you’ll find the main text and branding options.

2. Setting the Chatbot Name #
Option: chatbot_name
- This is the display name of your chatbot.
- It appears in the header of the chat window, next to or above the logo.
Step-by-step:
- Locate the Chatbot Name field.
- Enter a short, recognizable name (e.g., “Davix AI Assistant”).
- Save changes.
3. Adjusting Brand Font Size #
Option: brand_font_size
- Controls the font size of the chatbot name in the header.
- Uses values like
16px.
Step-by-step:
- Find the Brand Font Size field.
- Enter a value (for example,
16pxas documented). - Save changes and preview the chat.
4. Adding a Logo to the Chat Header #
Option: logo_url
- URL of the logo image that appears in the chat header.
Step-by-step:
- Upload your logo image to the WordPress Media Library.
- Copy the URL of that image.
- Paste the URL into the Logo URL field (
logo_url). - Save changes.
- Open the chat bubble on the front-end to confirm the logo shows.

5. Setting the Welcome Text (Initial Message) #
Option: welcome_text
- This is the message displayed in the chat on first load, before the user sends anything.
Step-by-step:
- Locate the Welcome Text field.
- Enter a clear, friendly greeting (for example, “Hi! I’m your Davix AI assistant.”).
- Save changes.
- Refresh the page and open the chat bubble to confirm the greeting appears automatically.
6. Customizing the Input Placeholder #
Option: placeholder
- Controls the text shown inside the message input before the user types.
Step-by-step:
- Find the Input Placeholder field.
- Add a helpful hint such as “Ask me anything about this site…”.
- Save changes.
- Open the chat; check that the placeholder text appears correctly.
These general settings give your chatbot a branded, recognizable identity using only options documented in the plugin.
