Controlling Where the Bubble Appears (Visibility Rules)

1. Display Location Setting #

Option: display_location

Possible values (as documented):

• all
• posts
• pages

Step-by-step:

1. Go to Davix AI Engine → Chatbot.
2. Locate the Display Location (or similar) dropdown.
3. Choose:
   • All – show bubble on all content types.
   • Posts – only on single posts.
   • Pages – only on pages.
4. Save changes.

2. Include and Exclude Lists #

Options: include_items, exclude_items

• include_items – IDs or URLs where the bubble should always appear, even if it normally wouldn’t.
• exclude_items – IDs or URLs where the bubble should be hidden, even if the location rule says it should be visible.

These are used for bubble visibility, and the same lists are also available for site search / forms, but here we focus on bubble.

Step-by-step:

1. In Chatbot settings, find the Include Items field.
2. Enter a list of post IDs or URLs you always want to show the bubble on.
3. In the Exclude Items field, enter IDs or URLs where the bubble must be hidden.
4. Save changes.

The docs note that these fields can also be used for other modules (e.g., search grounding in Forms), but for Chatbot their main use is fine-grained visibility control.
