2. Enabling Automatic AI Replies for Comments #
Option: comment_autoreply_enabled
Step-by-step:
- In the Comments section, find Enable AI auto-replies for comments (backed by
comment_autoreply_enabled). - Turn the toggle ON.
- Save changes.
From now on, new comments that meet the status conditions will be considered for AI auto-replies.
3. Choosing the Comment AI Model #
Option: comment_autoreply_model
From your readme, comments and reviews both have separate AI settings, including model. This field:
- Lets you choose which OpenAI model to use for comment replies (Pro supports model selection).
Step-by-step:
- Locate Comment AI model (internally
comment_autoreply_model). - Select the desired chat-capable model from the dropdown.
- Save changes.
New comment replies will use this model.
4. Setting the Comment Temperature #
Option: comment_autoreply_temperature
Your docs define a temperature field for comment auto-reply (with a default similar to 0.5). This controls how “creative” or “conservative” replies are.
Step-by-step:
- Find Comment AI temperature (
comment_autoreply_temperature). - Enter a numeric value (the docs mention a default around 0.5).
- Lower values → more focused, consistent replies.
- Slightly higher values → more varied language.
- Save changes.
5. Maximum Characters for Replies #
Option: comment_autoreply_max_chars
The readme notes “max chars” per reply. This field limits the length of generated replies.
Step-by-step:
- Locate Maximum characters for comment replies (
comment_autoreply_max_chars). - Enter a number (the docs indicate a default max like 600 characters).
- Save.
The auto-reply logic will ensure AI responses are truncated/limited to this length.
6. Comment Auto-Reply Prompt #
Option: comment_autoreply_prompt
Your docs describe this as the prompt template for how AI should reply to comments.
Step-by-step:
- In the Comments section, find Comment AI prompt (
comment_autoreply_prompt). - Write instructions for the AI, such as:
- How to address users.
- Tone and level of detail.
- Whether to mention that it’s an AI-generated reply (or leave that to notice text).
- Save changes.
When a new comment appears, the plugin:
- Builds a prompt using this template, the comment text, and any context source (see
comment_context_sourcein the docs). - Sends it to OpenAI to generate the reply.
