Edge Cases & Troubleshooting for Comment/Review Auto-Replies

1. No AI Replies Appearing #

If new comments/reviews are not getting AI replies:

1. Pro License
   • Ensure your Pro license is active, as this module is Pro-only.
2. Auto-Reply Enabled?
   • Check:
     • comment_autoreply_enabled for comments.
     • review_autoreply_enabled for reviews.
3. Model & API Key
   • Confirm that:
     • OpenAI integration is correctly configured (API key, general connectivity).
     • *_autoreply_model fields are set.
4. Status Conditions
   • If the plugin is configured to respond only on certain statuses (approved/pending), make sure your new comments match those statuses.

2. Replies Are Too Long / Too Short #

1. Check comment_autoreply_max_chars and review_autoreply_max_chars.
2. Adjust these values to the desired length.
3. Save and test again.

3. Telegram Alerts Not Firing for Comments/Reviews #

1. Verify:
   • comment_telegram_enabled / review_telegram_enabled are ON.
2. Check status toggles:
   • *_telegram_on_approved, *_telegram_on_pending, *_telegram_on_spam match the actual comment/review status.
3. Confirm:
   • Telegram bot token and targets are correctly set in the general Telegram section (and, where applicable, in comment/review templates).
4. Use Debug Logs:
   • If your Debug Logs module has channels for comment/review auto-replies or Telegram, enable them.
   • Trigger a new comment/review.
   • Inspect logs for errors.

4. Making AI Replies Transparent & On-Brand #

To keep replies clear and on-brand using only documented options:

1. Use AI notice text:
   • comment_ai_notice_enabled/comment_ai_notice_text.
   • review_ai_notice_enabled/review_ai_notice_text.
2. Use predefined text:
   • comment_predefined_text and review_predefined_text to add fixed branding or disclaimers to all replies.
3. Tune temperature and max chars:
   • Use a moderate temperature (~0.5 as the docs default) for stable, helpful replies.
   • Set max chars to match your typical comment length.
