Installing and Activating Davix AI Engine

1. Upload and Activate the Plugin #

The readme defines a 3-step process:

1. Upload the plugin folder to /wp-content/plugins/.
   • Step-by-step:
     1. Access your site’s files (for example, via SFTP or your hosting file manager).
     2. Locate the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
     3. Upload the davix-ai-engine plugin folder into this directory.
2. Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins.

   • Click Installed Plugins.
   • Look for Davix AI Engine in the list.
3. Activate Davix AI Engine.
   • Click the Activate link under Davix AI Engine.
   • After activation, the plugin will register its admin menu called Davix AI Engine.

2. Confirm the Davix Menu Appears #

After activation, the readme specifies that a Davix AI Engine menu should appear in the WordPress admin sidebar.

The menu provides access to:

• Chatbot
• LLM Index
• Forms
• AI Writer (Pro)
• Auto-Reply (Pro)
• Debug Logs
• About

Step-by-step:

1. Look at the left sidebar in WordPress admin.
2. Find Davix AI Engine.
3. Expand it to verify that submenus appear according to your version (Free or Pro).

3. Required Capability (Who Sees the Menu) #

The documentation states that admin menus are visible to users with manage_options capability, which usually means Administrator role.

Step-by-step:

1. Ensure you are logged in as an admin-level user.
2. If you do not see Davix AI Engine, verify your role has manage_options capability.

4. No Extra Activation Steps #

Based on the documentation and readme:

• There are no additional activation wizards described.
• There is no separate database installation step mentioned beyond the Forms module creating its entry table when needed.

So after activation, you move directly into configuration (Chatbot, LLM Index, Forms, etc.), covered in later articles.
